“I took photographs of Suzi Alesandra over 25 years ago, and it has been almost that long since I last saw her. I found her as striking and interesting as she had been in her youth, and I wanted to show both the wear of time, and some continuity of the spirit. The image I chose reminded me of classical painted portraiture.”
